Usually the Men’s version of a ski comes first or is launched with a womens version as well, this time the women’s version came first, the Yumi. Though the Yumi has been updated for 2018 with the addition of metal to the construction, the Yumi and Kanjo are the same ski. The Kanjo is slightly narrower in the waist than the super popular Kendo and doesn’t have a full sheet of metal. Metal makes skis heavy and damp, the Kanjo feels much more lively than the Kendo, a plus for skiers that want to do quicker turns more easily. The Kanjo feels very similar to the Atomic Vantage 85 CTI, though the Kanjo is more fun off trail, while the Vantage provides more frontside performance, not a huge difference between the two, but enough to make mention of it.
